The Company and Professional Division

(Day Program)

The Professional Division at American Classical Ballet is an intensive training environment for dancers who are on track to pursue a professional career in ballet. Structured across four levels that train and perform together: Trainee, Apprentice, Junior Artist, and Artist. The program provides a clear and deliberate pathway toward the professional stage with an abundance of experience and guidance along the way.

Day Program Professional Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 10:00-3:00pm, some Saturdays.

**Our evening classes are also accessible to our ACB Professional Division dancers.

Trainee

Academic Year Training

The entry point into ACB's Professional Division. Trainees train daily alongside a full group of aspiring professionals, immersing themselves in company-level technique and repertoire from the start. This level is designed for serious young dancers making the transition from student to professional candidate. Tuition applies.

Includes all classes & performance opportunities with ACB

Eligible for ACB Housing Assistance Program

$11,800 (Aug-May) Paid monthly over the period of August-May

Apprentice

Full Term

Apprentices have demonstrated clear readiness for professional pursuit and carry greater artistic responsibility within the company. Training at this level continues to deepen technical foundation, artistic maturity, and broadens performance experience in preparation for greater challenges. Tuition applies.

Considered for invitations to join ACB on tour

Eligible for ACB Housing Assistance Program

$8,850 (Aug-May) Paid monthly over the period of August-May

Junior Artist

Full Term

Junior Artists hold full membership within the ACB performing company. This level is open to post-graduate dancers, reflecting the company's recognition of each dancer's readiness for professional work. Junior Artists perform across the full season alongside Artists and company leadership, and are expected to set a standard of professionalism and artistry for those coming up through the division.

Artist

Full Term

The most senior rank within ACB's Professional Division, Artist level is reserved for post-graduate dancers prepared to meet a higher demand and embrace greater artistic challenges. Dancers at this level are expected to bring maturity, consistency, and artistic depth to every aspect of company life, serving as a model of excellence for the division as a whole. Artists are recognized for their professional contribution to the company and may be considered for ACB's touring productions.
